    Step into a unique creative journey with Voices of the Land: Poetry and Songs from Crotlieve 

    Are you curious about singing, songwriting, poetry, or storytelling? Or simply looking for a meaningful way to connect with others and the landscape around you? 

    Oriel Events is inviting adults to apply for this free, inspiring programme that brings people together through creativity, shared heritage, and the power of place.

     Guided by renowned songwriter and storyteller Colum Sands, alongside singer and researcher Colleen Savage, you’ll take part in engaging workshops filled with:

    • Singing, Creative writing & songwriting
    • Group collaboration
    • Guided walks and visits
    • Opportunities to develop your own creative voice

    Over five weeks, you’ll connect, create, and be inspired – culminating in a special live celebration where you’ll share your work and be part of a beautifully produced project booklet.

     

     Programme Details
    Mondays: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th June
     10am – 1pm
     Rostrevor / Crotlieve area (first session in Newry)
     Celebration Event: 29th June, 2–3pm

     What’s involved?
    We’re looking for committed participants who can attend all sessions, develop their ideas between workshops, and share a piece of work at the finale.

     

     Who can apply?
    Adults who can attend all sessions and are happy to complete short feedback forms.
    Places are limited, so early application is encouraged!
