{"id":6572,"date":"2023-06-20T14:03:19","date_gmt":"2023-06-20T13:03:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccgnewry.org\/?p=6572"},"modified":"2023-06-20T14:03:23","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T13:03:23","slug":"reminder-recruitment-of-independent-members-dea-forums","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccgnewry.org\/?p=6572","title":{"rendered":"Reminder &#8211; Recruitment of Independent Members DEA Forums"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is seeking to recruit Independent Members for its seven District Electoral Area (DEA) Forums.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The DEA Forums have been developed as a model of engagement and provide opportunities for all sections of the community to participate in discussion and operate as part of the decision making process.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Independent DEA Forum Members will be recruited from the business, community and voluntary sectors.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Nominations are now invited for Independent DEA Forum Members to sit on the seven DEA Forums which are:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Crotlieve DEA Forum<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Downpatrick DEA Forum<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Newry DEA Forum<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Rowallane DEA Forum<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Slieve Croob DEA Forum<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Slieve Gullion DEA Forum<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>The Mournes DEA Forum<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The term of service for Independent DEA Forum Members will be in line with the new Council term commencing from after the 2023 Local Government Elections.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Further information can be found in the <u>Nomination Pack<\/u> attached, this can also be downloaded from councils website at<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newrymournedown.org\/residents-district-electoral-area-dea-forums\">https:\/\/www.newrymournedown.org\/residents-district-electoral-area-dea-forums<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The closing date for the submission of Nominations is 4.00pm on Friday 30<sup>th<\/sup> June 2023.
