Project Administrator for Community Restorative Justice Newry / Armagh

Job description
The post-holder will be responsible for providing effective management of the administration
duties associated with the delivery of CRJ’s Safer, Stronger Communities project.


Responsibilities

  • To manage and develop the services of Community Restorative Justice Newry/Armagh in
    relation to the mission statement, aims and objectives of the organisation.
  • The creation and management of an administrative system ensuring the effective
    project delivery.
  • Collation of administrative systems such as financial records, database and mailing
    lists.
  • Acting as secretary to the Co-ordinator, i.e.: notification of meetings, taking of minutes,
    preparation of letters, reports and documents, as relevant to the NR project.
  • Monthly Statutory Financial reports.
  • Ensuring payment of all bills, issuing cheques, making lodgements and bank
    reconciliations.
  • To assist the Co-ordinator on projects, volunteers and on any external partnerships
    within the designated area.
  • General reception duties, answering phone, recording and distributing mail, internal
    communication and dealing with enquires from the public.
  • Compliance with all legal, statutory and financial obligations.
  • Providing Co-ordinator with relevant documentation for the Safer Stronger Communities
    Project, end of project requirements, etc.

    Skills and Qualifications
    Essential Skills
  • A minimum of OCN Level 2 in Restorative Practices or equivalent.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of word-processing, internet and e-mail.
  • Evidence of high level communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience and knowledge of funding bodies and strategies.
  • A commitment to the support and development of CRJ.
  • A commitment to equal opportunities and civil liberties.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in project finance including spreadsheets, payroll,
    monitoring forms and funding returns.
    Desirable Skills
  • Ability and willingness to work with diverse political, social and community based
    groupings.
  • Good knowledge of Newry Neighbourhood Renewal areas.
  • Experience in reception duties.
