Tenant’s Synopsis

ACTION MENTAL HEALTH  AMH promotes mental health and well-being. Integral to the organisation is its nine New Horizons services, dotted across NI, where clients benefit from a variety of personal development, vocational skills and employability training. Varieties of resilience-building techniques are pivotal to the range of services delivered to schoolchildren and young people. They offer services for young and old alike, designed to promote mental well-being for those in work and currently unemployed; those affected by chronic pain or debilitating long-term illnesses; people living with eating disorders and a dedicated service in Bangor for people with learning disabilities.
CAWT i-Recovery Project  The Innovation Recovery Project aims to build mental health resilience among our population within the cross border region, through provision of education and training. The ethos of recovery education based on the principles of optimism, hope, opportunity and control, aiming to change the narrative of our mental health to one of strength and resilience. Courses designed to help people tap into their own personal resilience and resourcefulness, become experts in their own self-care and work towards achieving goals and ambitions.                                                                    
CEDAR FOUNDATION  Cedar supports individuals and families living with disability, autism and brain injury through a range of services focused on inclusion in local communities. Services in Southern area are: Inclusion Works: Supporting adults to build employability skills.   Specialist Brain Injury Community Inclusion Services:   Floating Support Service: supporting adults to live independently.    Short Breaks Service: Transitions Service: supporting disabled young people when leaving school. Youth Matters: supporting young people with disability, autism or brain injury to access a variety of group activities and personal development programmes.
CENTRE FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING  NI   (CILNI)  An organisation of disabled people, working to support the right of disabled people to have choice and control in their lives and to take an active part in their community. CILNI promotes the philosophy of independent living and provides a range of services for people who are in receipt of Self- Directed support and Direct payments.
COMMUNITY ADVICE (previously CAB)    Community Advice Newry Mourne and Down, formerly Citizens Advice is a registered charity that provides free, independent advice and support to the residents of Newry, Mourne and Down on problems they face in their everyday lives.
COMMUNITY RESTORATIVE JUSTICE  CRJ Newry/Armagh provides a safe confidential community mediation service. Restorative justice is a theory of justice that emphasises repairing the harm caused or revealed by criminal behaviour, best accomplished through cooperative processes that include all stakeholders. CRJ provides a safe and confidential community service, which is available to all. CRJ’s trained staff and practitioners are impartial; their role is to provide a safe and structured format that brings local people together to enable them to resolve issues that are affecting their quality of life.

FRANK McCORMACKCounselling services.
MENCAP  Mencap provide services to support people with a learning disability every step of the way. From early years and youth programmes to in adult life, to find and keep jobs, live independently and get involved in local community.  They work to fight to change laws, improve services and access education, employment and leisure facilities.

THE MENTAL HEALTH FORUM  The Forum offers information, signposting and advice about mental health to the public, alongside peer-led professional counselling and coaching services. For MH service users and carers, we also have Peer support, Capacity-building services and Involvement opportunities.   
PJ TOAL NEWRY COUNSELLING CENTRE  Newry Counselling Centre offers short term and long-term term appointments for individuals and couples Monday – Friday 9-5 in a private office offering a safe space to explore your issues.   Therapies available are broad ranging from anxiety, depression, stress etc. to our specialisms of relationship therapy and psychosexual therapy. 
RADIUS HOUSING  Radius provides housing, care and support to over 33,000 homes. They are a social enterprise employing over 1,000 people and managing 12,500 properties in 80 towns across Northern Ireland.     
SOUTHERN AGE WELL NETWORK (Previously – SENIOR CITIZENS)As a trusted community organisation founded in 1998, they provide support to the older people’s groups who need it the most in the Southern Trust area, focusing on Newry and Mourne.
VOLUNTEER NOW  Volunteer Now is the lead organisation for promoting and supporting volunteering across NI. They build recognition for volunteering and celebrate the contribution volunteers make. They provide access to opportunities and encourage people to volunteer. They are a resource for volunteer involving organisations providing support on involving volunteers, governance and safeguarding.
