A positive ageing event is taking place next Thursday 5th October from 10am-2pm in Newry Leisure Centre. This event is free of charge and is open to everyone over the age of 50. There will be a wide range of services there on the day to promote their work, along with activities, fashion show and a tea dance. Lunch and refreshments will be served.
ABOUT US
The Confederation of Community Groups was established in 1973 by a group of community activists in the Newry area and opened a Community resource Centre in Bank Parade in June 1977. In 1979, the Confederation moved to larger premises at 2 Bridge Street and relocated from there in 1997 to Ballybot House at Cornmarket from where it currently operates.
