SUBJECT: Youth and Future Talent Awards (YAFTAS) Launch Event
You are invited to the official launch of the YAFTA’S (Youth and Future Talent Award’s) which is taking place on Tuesday 13th February 2024 in Down Leisure Centre, 14 Market Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6LZ from 12.00pm-2.00pm.
The Youth and Future Talent Awards were created in 2012 by the Newry and Mourne Youth Council to help raise the profile of young people’s involvement in local communities across the district. Since then the awards have extended their reach, recognising young people from across the district of Newry, Mourne and Down.
The YAFTAs aim to highlight the ‘unsung heroes’ who normally don’t receive recognition for their work and young people can be nominated under a range of categories. This year will be the 8th year of the Awards.
What makes the YAFTAs unique is that all aspects of the Award and Awards Ceremony are designed and managed by young people for young people.
