Dear Carer,
Are you over 50?
Is your caring role leaving you feeling lonely, isolated, or under financial pressure?
We’re excited to announce a new funded programme for carers in Newry, meeting twice a month on Wednesdays at 2pm. These sessions are designed to offer support, connection, and practical advice for those in caring roles.
Together with our community pharmacist and local partners, we’ll explore topics such as:
- Self-Care: Winter wellness, managing stress, minor ailments, ear health
- Community Advice & Benefits: Guidance from our community partners
- Mental Health Support: Workshops with Action Mental Health
- Care & Advocacy: Insights from Age NI and Volunteer Now
As a valued member of our group, your voice matters — tell us what workshops you’d like to see, and we’ll work with you to make them happen.
If you’d like to learn more, join us for an information session at Ballybot House on 5th November @ 2pm.
Come to meet like-minded carers, enjoy a friendly chat, and share a cuppa.
To register or ask any questions, please contact me for more details.
Warm regards,
Lorraine
