Online training
The Centre for Cross Border Cooperation’s “Getting Started with Cross Border Collaboration” course provides participants with the information and tools needed at each stage of developing a cross-border project to ensure that it is both effective and creates a sustainable partnership. The next six-week course, with CCBC Director Anthony Soares, starts on Tuesday 28 April. Email projects@crossborder.ie to book a place.
North/South Postgraduate Scholarships
Universities Ireland is offering five scholarships, each worth €25,000, to students who have been accepted to undertake a recognised Master’s Degree or are entering the first year of a PhD programme at a university on the island of Ireland that is not in the same jurisdiction as the university where they have previously studied. Applications close at 4pm on 14 May 2026.
Seed Funding
The Standing Conference on Teacher Education, North and South (SCoTENS) is a network of 34 colleges of education, university education departments, teaching and curriculum councils, education trade unions and education centres with an interest in teacher education. SCoTENS provides Seed Funding to support collaborative research projects and professional activities in teacher education across the island. Applications close at 4pm on 27 April 2026.
Cross-border insurance research
The CCBC would like to find out about the impact of insurance costs and restrictions following Brexit. Closes on 30 April 2026.
