The Department for Infrastructure is asking people in Northern Ireland who are
eligible for a Half-Fare SmartPass to take part in a short survey about how they
travel.
To take part in this survey, you must:
• Live in Northern Ireland;
• Be aged between 16 and 59 years; and
• Be eligible for a Half-Fare SmartPass.
You can get a Half-Fare SmartPass if one of the following applies to you:
• You receive the mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or
Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
• You are registered as partially sighted with a Health and Social Care Trust.
• You are registered as having a learning disability with a Health and Social
Care Trust.
• You have been refused a driving licence because of a medical condition.
We want to understand how people travel on public transport now and how travel
might change in the future. Even if you are eligible for the Half-Fare SmartPass but
don’t have one, or you don’t use public transport, your views are still very important
to us.
The survey only takes a few minutes. Your answers are completely anonymous and
will be used only to help shape future policy.
Please complete the survey by 5pm on Friday 14 August 2026.
Thanks for taking the time to share your views.
